On Thursday (8/5), Britcham's Mining Committee brought together its members to discuss the British government's vision for the mining sector. The presentation, led by Laura Queiroz, Director of Government Relations and Trade, and MaurĂcio GuimarĂ£es, Business Development Manager for Mining, both from the British Consulate in Belo Horizonte (MG), highlighted the UK's focus on cleaner and more efficient mining, aimed at the energy transition and critical minerals. In this scenario, Brazil was appointed as a strategic partner for its mineral reserves, renewable energy sources, financial strength, and advances in ESG. The meeting was conducted by Adriano Trindade and Luis Azevedo, president and vice president of the Mining Committee, respectively.
